Anyone who works around, near, under power lines and electrical infrastructure Includes “Working Around, Near and Under Powerlines and Electrical Infrastructure” booklet Includes but not limited to: • All mobile plant, earth moving and crane operators • Elevated Work Platform operators • Truck, tractor, backhoe and slasher operators • Scaffolders • Local Government employees and contractors • Construction industry workers • Rail industry workers and contractors • Transport operators • Farmers • Low flying aircraft crop dusting, pesticide operators • Emergency Services personnel Who is the course for? Within our environment are vital services such as electricity transmission and electrical infrastructure, gas, communications, water and sewage.  Each service has unique hazards to the people working on or near them and damage to these services has an immediate impact on the community. These services are not always immediately identifiable.   Some services such as electrical infrastructure have defined “NO GO ZONES”  where work cannot be done with out approval.  Other services may have similar restrictions.   This course covers: 1. identifying services and hazards 2. how hazards can be controlled 3. responding to emergencies
